Seven Concerns Before You Order
Every buyer evaluating a new smart lock supplier has the same seven worries. None of them is answered here with a promise - each answer says what we do, what it depends on, and what we cannot control.

Concern 1 of 7
The Price Looks Higher Than Another Quotation
A higher unit price is often a different specification rather than a worse deal. Before you decide, put the two quotations side by side on the same lines.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Material | Zinc alloy, stainless and aluminium bodies are different costs and different weights |
|---|---|
| Finish | Paint, plating and sealing are separate processes with separate costs |
| Mortise and body | A 5050 body and an 8560 body are not the same product |
| App version | Bluetooth and TTLock versions carry different electronics to the older Wi-Fi generation |
| Packaging | Neutral carton, colour box and printed manual are three different price levels |
| Trade term | EXW and DDP differ by freight, clearance and duties, not by the lock |
Concern 2 of 7
It Will Not Fit My Door
This is the most common and the most expensive first-order mistake, and it is prevented in four steps rather than by reading a specification sheet.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Step 1 | Send a photograph of the door edge with a ruler against it, or the mortise body code |
|---|---|
| Step 2 | We confirm the mortise, backset, door thickness and handing in writing |
| Step 3 | Where the fit is uncertain, order a sample. It ships with a cut-out template |
| Step 4 | Production starts only after the specification is confirmed |
Concern 3 of 7
The Second Batch Will Differ From the First
Consistency is a process question, not a promise. These are the four controls that make a repeat order reproducible.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Incoming material check | Boards, springs, shells and battery contacts checked against the confirmed specification |
|---|---|
| First article check | The first assembled unit of a new specification measured against the drawing |
| In-process check | Dimensions and finish measured while the batch runs, not only at the end |
| Batch record | Batch numbers recorded so a claim can be traced to the stage that produced it |
Concern 4 of 7
We Have Never Heard of You
That is a reasonable starting position. Three documents answer most of it, and all three can be checked independently.

| Business licence | Wenzhou Mingsheng Security Technology Co., Ltd., registered 17 February 2016 |
|---|---|
| Quality system | ISO 9001:2015, certified 2021 |
| Factory verification | SGS on-site verification, reviewed October 2023 |
| Third-party inspection | SGS, BV or TUV can be booked at the factory before shipment |
| What we do not claim | ISO 9001 is a management-system certificate, not a product approval |
Concern 5 of 7
The Lead Time Is Too Long
Lead time is counted from the later of the deposit and the approved sample or artwork, which is why an early artwork decision shortens the order.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Samples | 3-7 days from the confirmed specification |
|---|---|
| Trial orders | 10-15 days |
| Bulk orders | 20-35 days |
| What shortens it | Approving the sample and the packaging proof early rather than in sequence |
| What lengthens it | A specification that changes after production is scheduled |
| Fixed project dates | Tell us at quote stage and we will say whether the date holds |
Concern 6 of 7
The Minimum Order Is Too Large to Test
The first order is meant to answer a question, not to fill a warehouse. Three ways to make it small enough to be a test.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Start with a sample | Samples ship in 3-7 days and the cost is refundable against the first bulk order |
|---|---|
| Split by model | Order a smaller quantity of the two or three models you are most likely to re-order |
| Mix inside one order | One carton of padlocks or 30 sets of door locks, with mixed models accepted |
| Then scale | Once the first batch proves itself, the range and the quantity extend from the same frozen specification |
Concern 7 of 7
Switching Suppliers Will Be a Headache
It is, if you switch everything at once. Four steps make it a comparison rather than a gamble.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Step 1 | Pick the model you already re-order most often, not the whole range |
|---|---|
| Step 2 | Ask us for that model as a sample and compare it against your current stock |
| Step 3 | Place a trial quantity at the normal MOQ against the confirmed specification |
| Step 4 | Extend to the rest of the range only after the first batch has been used in the field |
The Seven Answers, Short
The same seven concerns, one paragraph each, for when you only need the summary.
Short answers
What if your price is higher than another quotation?
Compare the line items rather than the total. Material, finish, mortise size, app version, packaging and trade term all move the number. Tell us the term you are comparing against and we will quote the same basis.
What if the lock does not fit my door?
Send a photograph of the door edge with a ruler against it, or the mortise body code. We confirm the fit in writing before production. Where the fit is uncertain, a sample settles it before the batch.
What if the second batch differs from the first?
The specification is frozen in writing, the first article of a new specification is measured against the drawing, and batch numbers are recorded. A repeat order runs against the same frozen specification.
We have never heard of you. Why should we trust the order?
Check three things: the business licence date, the ISO 9001 certificate and the SGS on-site verification report. All three can be sent before you commit, and third-party inspection can be booked at the factory.
What if the lead time is too long for our schedule?
Samples ship in 3-7 days. Where a project date is fixed, tell us at quote stage and we will say plainly whether the line can hold the date rather than promising and missing it.
What if the minimum order is too large to test?
One carton of padlocks or 30 sets of door locks, with mixed models accepted. The sample cost is refundable against the first bulk order.
What if switching suppliers turns out to be a mistake?
Start with the model you already re-order most. Send us that one for comparison, place a trial quantity against the normal MOQ, and extend the range only after the first batch proves itself.
