The Eight Questions Buyers Ask Most

Ordered by how often they come up in real enquiries, not by how easy they are to answer.

What is the minimum order, really?

30 sets for door locks and one carton of 20 for padlocks. Mixed models are accepted inside one trial order.

Which app version am I buying?

Tuya Bluetooth and TTLock open actively from the phone. The older Tuya Wi-Fi generation is request-based. This is stated on the quotation.

Will it fit my door?

Door thickness, mortise body, backset and handing decide it. A photograph of the door edge with a ruler answers all four.

How long until goods arrive?

Samples in 3-7 days, trial orders 10-15 days, bulk orders 20-35 days.

Can I put my brand on it?

Marking and packaging do not need tooling. A different body does, and that is quoted as a separate line.

What documents do I get?

Form E, commercial invoice, packing list and B/L are issued here. Certificates are issued for the model you order.

What if something is wrong?

A written root-cause answer, then replacement parts, a credit or a swap in the next shipment, traced by batch number.

What should I send first?

The application, the quantity and the destination market. Anything else we will ask for before quoting.

Six Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

Every one of these has cost somebody a shipment. All six are avoidable before the order is placed.

Choosing a lock from a product photo

A photograph shows the outside of the panel. It does not show the mortise, the backset or the handing, which are the three things that decide whether it installs.

Not recording the existing body dimensions

Where a door is already cut, the body has to fit the hole that exists. Without the measurement, the first order is a guess.

Leaving the app version until production

Request-based and active unlock are different hardware generations. Discovering the difference after production means the goods do not do what the customer was promised.

Comparing unit prices across different configurations

Two locks at different prices are usually different specifications. Compare the line items, not the headline number.

Treating a sample as if it were the batch

A sample proves the design. The batch is proved by the first article check and the packing photos, which is why both are sent before the balance payment.

Deciding packaging last

Artwork has its own proof cycle and print run. Leaving it until production is scheduled is what pushes a shipment back.

A Printable Purchasing Checklist

Eight items. If you have four of them, send those and we will ask for the rest before quoting. Nothing here requires a drawing unless the door is already cut.

What to Do With It

Copy the list into your own template, or send it to us as it stands. The form accepts a " "drawing or a photograph, and a photo of the door edge with a ruler is usually enough.

Buyer Questions

Four questions that come up before any first order.

Buyer questions

Where do I start if I have never bought a smart lock?

Send the application and a photo of the door edge with a ruler against it, plus the quantity. That is enough for us to recommend a model and a version and quote it.

What do I need to prepare before asking for a price?

Four of the eight checklist items are usually enough. Tell us the application, the quantity, the destination and whether you need branding, and we will ask for the rest before quoting.

Which buyer group am I in?

If you resell, you are a distributor. If you install on a project, you are a contractor. If you integrate into a platform, you are an integrator. The six guides cover the rest.

Do you only make smart locks?

Yes. This website and this line of the business cover smart locks: smart door locks, smart padlocks and the gateways and bodies that go with them.

Send the List, Even If It Is Half Finished

A partial list is enough to start. We will come back with the model, the app version, the MOQ and the lead time, and ask for anything still missing.
