Marking on the lock
Your logo on the panel or the body, laser-etched or printed. This is the smallest change and the one that most often decides the MOQ.
From a logo on the panel to a body that is not in the catalogue. Every change is quoted with what it adds to the MOQ, the tooling and the lead time, before you commit to anything.

| What can change | Marking, packaging, manual, body and panel, keying, app ecosystem |
|---|---|
| What cannot change | The app belongs to Tuya or TTLock; branding inside it is limited |
| Standard MOQ | 30 sets door locks / 1 carton (20 pcs) padlocks |
| Custom MOQ | Confirmed with the tooling cost, not quoted as a range |
| Sample lead time | 3-7 days |
| Bulk lead time | 20-35 days after sample approval |
| Drawing review | Before tooling, so a dimension error does not become a batch |
| Where to send files | The quote form accepts PDF, JPG, PNG, DWG, DXF and STEP |
Each one has a different effect on the MOQ, the cost and the lead time. Marking is cheap and fast; a new body is a tooling project.

Colour box, inner tray, manual and master carton. Artwork is approved as a digital proof before anything is printed.
The user manual in the language your market reads. Translations are supplied by you or arranged with a translator.
A mortise length, bore position or panel size that is not in the catalogue. Engineered from your drawing and sampled before the run.
Keyed alike or a master-key system across a project, so one key opens the units that belong together and a master opens the rest.
Tuya or TTLock as standard, with gateway support for remote control. Deeper cloud work is quoted as a project rather than as a product option.
Eight stages. Nothing is printed or produced before you approve the proof or the first article.
Send whatever format you already have. We ask for what is missing before quoting, not after tooling has started.

| Drawing | PDF, DWG, DXF or STEP - whatever your engineer already uses |
|---|---|
| Photograph | A photo of the door edge with a ruler against it |
| Existing sample | A lock that already fits, so we can measure the body |
| Door schedule | For a multi-unit project, one row per door type |
| Artwork | Logo in vector if you have it; a high-resolution PNG works otherwise |
| What we ask back | Anything still missing, before the quotation is issued |
A sample that can be measured and opened answers more than a photograph. If you send one, tell us which dimensions are fixed and which can move.

| Most useful | A sample that can be opened and measured |
|---|---|
| Also useful | Photographs with a ruler, and the door thickness |
| Tell us | Which dimensions are fixed and which can move |
| Return | Samples can be returned or kept; tell us which you prefer |
We do not publish a price list for customisation, because the number depends on the volume and the tooling. What we can state is which changes cost time and which cost tooling.

| Marking | Adds a proof cycle, not production time |
|---|---|
| Packaging | Adds a proof cycle and a print run; MOQ rises with the print method |
| Manual language | Adds translation and a print run |
| Non-standard body | Adds tooling and a sample round before production |
| Keying | Adds assembly time and a key plan per project |
| App work | Quoted as a project, not as a product option |
OEM means you bring the design and we build it. ODM means we develop the product with you. The difference is who brings the design and who owns it.

| OEM | You bring the design; we build, test and pack to it |
|---|---|
| ODM | We develop the product with you from a requirement |
| Ownership | Agreed in writing before development starts |
| Exclusivity | A commercial term, not an assumption |
| Next step | Send the requirement and we will say which route fits |
Three places, and one honest limitation. Private-label identity on a smart lock is mostly packaging and marking, not the app.
Panel or body marking, laser-etched so it survives daily contact.
Colour box, manual and carton marking, approved as a digital proof.
The ecosystem stays Tuya or TTLock. Branding inside a third-party app is limited, and we say so.
Six questions that come up before a custom project starts.
Customisation questions
It depends on what changes. Marking and packaging run at the normal MOQ of 30 sets for door locks. A new body or panel needs tooling, so the first order is larger. We confirm the number with the tooling cost rather than quoting a range.
Yes. Send whatever format you have - PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, or a photograph with a ruler against the door edge. We confirm the fit in writing, then sample before the production run.
The specification is frozen in writing on the quotation, the first article is measured against the drawing, and batch numbers are recorded. A repeat order runs against the same frozen specification.
Tooling is quoted as a separate line when a new body or panel is needed. Sample cost is refundable against the first bulk order. Both are stated before you commit.
A marking or packaging change adds the proof cycle rather than production time. A new body adds tooling and a sample round first. We give the dates once the drawing is confirmed.
Where we develop a body or a panel for you, exclusivity is a commercial term to agree in writing rather than something we assume. Raise it at quote stage.
