Quality Control
Most smart lock claims are not about the design. They are about a batch that arrived with a fault nobody caught: a handle that drops, a board that drains the battery, a card missing from the box. These are the checks that stand between the line and your customer.
Incoming material check
Boards, readers, keypads, springs, bodies and battery contacts are checked against the confirmed specification before they enter the line.
First article check
For a new model or a new specification, the first assembled unit is reviewed against the drawing before the run continues, so a tooling or dimension error does not turn into a batch of rejects.
In-process check
Assembly stations check the unit before it is closed, which is the last moment a fault can be corrected cheaply.
Function test
Every unlock method, the keypad response, handle return, spring tension and latch movement are tested on the unit.
Battery and cycle test
Battery contacts, standby behaviour and repeated unlock cycles are checked, which is where the two most common after-sales complaints come from.
Packing check and photos
Contents, manual language and carton marking are checked against the approved proof, and packing photos are sent before dispatch.
Third-party inspection
SGS, BV or TUV inspection can be arranged at the factory before shipment if your process requires it.
Four Checks on Every Order
Four stages run on every order. Each one has a working instruction and a record, so a defect can be traced to the stage that produced it.
Incoming material check
Boards, readers, springs, shells and battery contacts are checked against the confirmed specification. A wrong component found here costs a supplier conversation; found after assembly it costs the batch.
In-process check
Dimensions and finish are measured while the batch is running, not only at the end. A body produced to the wrong size cannot be reworked.
Final function check
Every unit is opened once by its own entry methods: fingerprint, keypad, IC card and, on app models, from the phone. Battery contacts and the return spring are checked in the same pass.
Packing check
Contents, manual language, carton marking and quantity are checked against the approved packaging proof, and packing photos are taken before the carton is sealed.
What We Test and Measure
The tests we can run in house, and the ones we sample or send out. Anything not listed here is not claimed.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| Mechanical | Cycle testing of the handle, latch and return spring, plus a static load check on the panel. |
|---|---|
| Electronic | Fingerprint read rate and keypad response after assembly, with the unit open and closed. |
| Battery | Standby current draw and a low-battery warning check, on the model's own battery type. |
| Sealing | IP65 / IP67 sample checks where the model claims a rating, confirmed per model. |
| Corrosion | Neutral salt spray testing to ISO 9227 on plated and coated parts. |
| Fit | Mortise, backset and door-thickness check against the confirmed drawing or template. |
First Article Check and Batch Traceability
A first article check is not a marketing step. On a new model or a new specification the first assembled unit is measured against the drawing before the run continues, so a tooling or dimension error costs one unit instead of a batch.
Swipe the table sideways to see the full specification →
| When it runs | New model, new specification, or a change to tooling or a supplier part |
|---|---|
| What is measured | Dimensions, bore positions, panel alignment and finish against the drawing |
| Who signs it off | The production lead records the result before the run continues |
| Batch traceability | Batch numbers are recorded, so a claim can be traced to a board batch, a spring lot or a packing shift |
You Approve Before It Ships
Nothing ships on our word alone. You see the goods before the balance payment, and an independent inspector is welcome at the factory.

| Before dispatch | Finished-batch photos and a working video sent to you |
|---|---|
| On request | Third-party inspection by SGS, BV or TUV, booked at the factory |
| On request | Customer-nominated laboratory testing on samples from the production batch |
| After dispatch | Document set issued here so the shipment clears without a chase |
| If something is wrong | A written root-cause answer, then replacement parts, a credit or a swap in the next shipment, traced through the batch number |
Buyer Questions
Buyer questions
Can we define our own inspection plan?
Yes. Send the checkpoints and the acceptance criteria you want and we will confirm whether they can be applied at the factory, and at which stage.
Can we see the goods before they ship?
Yes. Packing photos are sent before dispatch on every order, and third-party inspection can be arranged so your inspector sees the batch at the factory.
Can a defect be traced back to a batch?
Yes. Batch numbers are recorded, and a claim is handled as an investigation that identifies the cause at the level of board batch, spring, assembly or packing.
What does the first article check actually do?
For a new model or a new specification the first assembled unit is reviewed against the drawing before the run continues, so a tooling or dimension error does not become a batch of rejects.
What happens when a batch is faulty?
A written root-cause answer, then replacement parts, a credit or a swap in the next shipment, with photos or video as evidence. Spare parts are added to a later order so the site is not left short.
Do you offer a warranty?
12 months on electronic parts. The exact scope, the consumable parts list and the replacement process are confirmed on the order documents.
