Smart Locks by Application

Buyers rarely arrive with a model number. They arrive with a building, a facility or a retail range and need a lock that works there. These five scenarios cover almost every order we ship.

Five Scenarios

Each page lists the models that fit, the setup that makes them work, and the questions to settle before production.

Apartment & Rental

Every tenancy change means a key change, and every key change costs a site visit. A lock that issues and revokes access from a phone removes that...

Hotel & Serviced Apartment

A hotel lock is part of a system. The lock, the encoder, the software and the spare cards have to arrive together and match the doors on site, or the...

Gym, Locker & Warehouse

Cutting keys and replacing lost ones is a permanent cost for any shared facility. A keyless padlock removes it: the operator registers a finger or...

Gate & Automatic Door

Bluetooth reaches the driveway, not the office in another city. A gateway puts the lock on the network so access can be granted, revoked and reviewed...

Luggage & Retail

In travel goods the packaging closes the sale before anyone touches the product, and a marketplace listing is judged on the same packaging. We build...

Three Decisions Behind Every Scenario

Whatever the site, these three answers decide the model, the app ecosystem and the price. They are the same three questions we ask in the first reply.

Who opens the lock

One named user, a rotating group, or a stream of strangers. This decides whether you need per-user credentials or a shared code you can change.

How they open it

Fingerprint and keypad suit high-turnover sites; card entry suits hotels; app entry suits sites where access has to be revoked remotely. Most projects combine two.

Whether you need a record

If someone will ever ask who opened what and when, you need the app ecosystem plus a gateway, not just a mechanical lock.

Engineering and Non-Standard Projects

A project that does not match a catalogue body is a normal order, not a special case. Send the door schedule or the drawing and we work from it.

We confirmMortise, backset, door thickness, handing and finish, in writing
We engineerNon-standard mortise lengths, panel sizes and stainless versions
We sampleThe sample ships with a cut-out template for the installer
ThenThe confirmed specification is carried onto the quotation and the order

What Changes Between Scenarios

The hardware often stays the same; what changes is the app configuration, the packaging and the accessories shipped with it.

Scenario differences
Apartment and rentalTimed credentials you can revoke remotely
HotelRoom-level card or app management, usually with a front-desk workflow
Gym and lockerHigh turnover and simple entry, often fingerprint
Gate and automatic doorGateway plus lock, so the app actually controls the gate
Luggage and retailRetail-ready packaging and a trial quantity low enough to test

Scenario and Category at a Glance

Which categories and entry methods come up in each scenario, and whether that scenario normally needs an access record.

Scenario Questions

Five questions that come up whichever scenario you are buying for.

Scenario questions

Can we mix scenarios in one order?

Yes, inside one trial order. Mixed models still need the specification confirmed for each one, which is why the quotation lists them line by line rather than as a single figure.

Do we need a gateway?

Only if you want to control or audit the lock remotely. Tuya Bluetooth and TTLock open actively from the phone without one; the gateway is what lets you manage them from elsewhere.

What if we do not know the door thickness?

Send a photograph of the door edge with a ruler against it. That answers more than a specification sheet and costs you a minute.

Can the same lock serve two scenarios?

Often yes. A mortise lock that suits an apartment entry also suits a serviced apartment. What changes is the app configuration and the packaging, not always the hardware.

Do you supply the accessories for a project?

Gateways, mortise bodies, cylinders and IC cards are supplied with the lock order where they are needed, so a site is not left waiting for a second shipment.

Tell Us What the Site Looks Like

Describe the building, the door or the locker, who opens it and how often. We recommend the family and the app version, then quote it.
