Two Product Lines, Two Different Buyers

Smart padlocks are bought by e-commerce, retail and facility buyers. Smart door locks are bought by distributors, integrators and project contractors. The specs, the MOQ and the questions are different, so we keep them separate.

What Do We Specialise In?

This factory builds one thing: smart locks. Inside that single category we make deadbolts for US-prepped doors, entry-door sets, mortise bodies, security-door locks, rim locks, handle and knob locks, and smart padlocks, together with the gateways and cylinders that go with them. Those are the thirteen groups below, and it is the same list our own sales team quotes from.

Most orders here are built to the specification the buyer confirms rather than taken off a shelf. You send the door, the quantity and the destination market; we confirm the mortise, the backset, the door thickness, the handing and the app version in writing; and the lock that ships is the lock that was quoted.

To see what sits inside a group, open the group you recognise. If you would rather start from your own door, send a photograph of the door edge with a ruler against it and we will tell you which of these groups it belongs to.

Pick a Lock by Door Type or Scenario

Buyers rarely arrive with a model number. They arrive with a building, a locker bank or a retail range. Pick the closest scenario and the page lists the models, the app version and what to confirm first.

Why Buyers Stay With Us

Six things buyers told us decided the order, written as what we do rather than how good we say we are.

Low MOQ trial orders

Start with one carton (20 pcs) of padlocks or 30 sets of door locks. Mixed models are accepted so you can test a range instead of guessing.

Replies within working hours, not days

Send a question on email, WhatsApp or WeChat and you get an answer the same working day. Quotes are issued as a document, not a chat message.

Spec engineering before production

Mortise size, backset, door thickness and hole pattern are confirmed from your drawing or photos before the run starts. Non-standard bodies are engineered, not refused.

Honest answers about app unlocking

Tuya Bluetooth and TTLock support active unlock. The older Tuya Wi-Fi version is request-based only. We tell you which is which before you buy, because the wrong version comes back as an after-sales claim.

Export documents issued in house

Form E, commercial invoice, packing list and B/L are issued by us. Battery products can be re-routed where regulations require it.

After-sales closure, not silence

Batch problems get a root-cause answer plus replacement parts, a credit or a swap in the next shipment, with photos and videos as evidence.

The Same Question Gets a Different Answer Depending on Who You Are

A reseller, a project contractor and a brand owner need different documents, a different MOQ and different lead times. Start from the one that describes you.

I buy to resell

Mixed models in one trial order, repeat-order conditions kept on file, and retail packaging that ships straight to your customer.

Best-Selling Smart Lock Models

These are the models buyers order most, grouped the same way we split the range: door locks for distributors, integrators and project contractors, padlocks for e-commerce, retail and facility buyers. Every card opens a page with the unlock combinations, the fit information, the MOQ and the lead time.

Three Orders, Three Problems Solved

These are real orders with the customer names removed and the country kept, because the market is usually the part a buyer wants to check first. Each one is written as the problem, what we did about it, and what happened next - the part a quotation cannot tell you.

A rival quoted below our own cost

The situation

A door and gate contractor in Southeast Asia asked for a padlock programme with monthly volumes and the gateway to manage access from an office.

What we did

We declined to match the price. Instead we bundled a one-year warranty into the unit price, quoted the padlock and the matching gateway as one package, and issued the origin document and the full document set in house.

The result

The first order was a small trial. It grew into a monthly programme, because the end users stopped reporting the problems the cheaper hardware had caused.

From an app complaint to a non-standard door lock

The situation

A smart home integrator in the Caribbean had locks that would only send an unlock request when the end user expected the lock to open. A batch also drained batteries, and a government project needed a 60 mm mortise on doors that were already cut.

What we did

We rebuilt the affected batch onto the version that unlocks actively, traced the battery drain to a board batch and changed the supplier, then engineered the non-standard mortise with a stainless body and an installation template.

The result

A retail-scale account became a project account, and the non-standard body became a repeat specification.

A very small first order that became a bulk contract

The situation

An importer opened with five questions in one message: discount, payment method, bulk MOQ, payment terms and price. That opening usually means the buyer has been quoted badly before.

What we did

We answered all five in one quotation document, quoted a trial quantity small enough to be low risk, issued the revised configuration the same day, and confirmed a payment method that avoided a bank transfer.

The result

The trial shipped, the buyer tested it with their own customers, and a bulk contract followed in the same product family.

Tell Us What the Lock Has to Do

Three answers is enough for us to come back with the model, the unlock combination, the MOQ and the lead time. We ask for the drawings and the door measurements only once there is something worth quoting.

  • Reply within 12 working hours
  • Samples in 3-7 days, refundable against the first bulk order
  • Fit and app version confirmed in writing before production

Before anything ships you receive the documents pre-checked, assembly and packing photographs, a working video, and a packing check against the approved proof. Wrong or missing items are replaced at our cost.

Three answers is enough to start. We will ask for the rest before quoting.

Your Brand, Your Specification

The same five steps whether you order one carton or a container. Nothing is printed and nothing is assembled before you approve the sample and the artwork.

  1. Inquiry and specification

Send the model or the application, quantity, target market and any drawing. We reply with the matching option and the open questions.

  2. Drawing and sample confirmation

A pre-production sample follows in 3-7 days. Artwork for the logo and colour box is checked at the same time.

  3. Artwork and packaging sign-off

Logo, colour box, manual language and master carton marking are approved on a digital proof before printing.

  4. Mass production with photo updates

Production photos and a working video are sent at the assembly and packing stages, before the balance payment.

  5. Shipping and documents

Form E, commercial invoice, packing list and B/L are issued here. Goods can ship to your forwarder warehouse in China.

Delivery That Fits Your Supply Chain

Most suppliers stop at the port. We keep going until your forwarder confirms the cartons, because that is where most of the delays we see actually happen.

  • Sea, air and express freight; LCL consolidation from Wenzhou and Ningbo
  • We ship to your forwarder warehouse in China
  • Your shipping marks printed and packing photos sent before dispatch
  • Battery products re-routed and separately manifested where required

Seven Awkward Questions, Answered in Public

Price, MOQ and lead time are the easy questions. These are the seven that actually stall an order, and what we say about each one.

  • A rival is cheaper

Compare the warranty, the documents and whether the app version is the one you asked for, not the unit price alone.

  • It will not fit my door

Send a photo of the door edge and we confirm the mortise, backset and door thickness in writing before production.

  • Two batches will differ

Incoming checks, a first article check and a packing check run on every order, with photos before dispatch.

  • I have never heard of you

ISO 9001:2015, an SGS on-site verification reviewed in October 2023, and a video factory tour you can book.

  • Lead time is too long

Samples in 3-7 days, trial orders in 10-15 days and bulk orders in 20-35 days; rush production for fixed project dates.

  • The MOQ is too high

Start at 1 carton (20 pcs) of padlocks or 30 sets of door locks, and mix models in one trial order.

  • Switching supplier is a hassle

Send your current model and we sample it against ours so you can compare before committing to a volume order.

Five Questions Buyers Ask Before the First Order

Short answers with the conditions attached, so you can tell whether each one applies to your project.

Buyer questions

What is your MOQ for smart locks?

One carton (20 pcs) for smart padlocks and 30 sets for smart door locks. Mixed models in a trial order are accepted.

Do Tuya smart locks support unlocking from the app?

Tuya Bluetooth and TTLock versions support active unlock, which opens the lock from the phone without pressing the lock first. The older Tuya Wi-Fi version only supports request-based unlock. Tell us the scenario and we recommend the right version.

Can I put my own brand on the lock and the packaging?

Yes. Logo, colour box, user manual and master carton marking are all customizable from your artwork. Neutral packaging is also available.

Can you ship to my forwarder warehouse in China?

Yes. We ship to your nominated forwarder address, print your shipping marks and send packing photos for confirmation before dispatch.

Will the lock fit my door?

Send a photo of the door edge, the existing lock body or a simple drawing. We confirm the mortise size, backset, door thickness and hole pattern before production.

Tell Us What You Sell and We Will Recommend the Right Model

The more you tell us up front, the fewer rounds it takes. Country, business type, target quantity and any customization are the four answers that change the quote most.

Reply within 12 working hours · Free catalog · Sample order accepted

Send these four and we can quote

  • What the lock is used on, and the door or locker type
  • Target quantity, even if it is only a trial order
  • Whether the app must unlock actively or by request
  • Packaging, branding and the destination market

A photo of the door edge or the existing lock body is the single most useful attachment.

PDF, JPG, PNG or DWG. A photo of the door edge with a ruler is usually enough to confirm the fit.

We reply within 12 working hours. Send a door drawing or a photo of your existing lock body and we will confirm the fit before production. File attachments up to 10 MB; if the upload does not go through, email the file to mike@bbdhome.com and quote your company name.
