Why Buyers Choose Us

We only make smart locks, so the fit, the app version and the lead time can be answered in the same reply as the price. As a source factory we own the assembly, the function testing and the export documents, which is what makes that possible. Below is what it means in practice, written as specific actions rather than adjectives.

Six Things We Do Differently

Not claims about quality. Six specific things you can hold us to, and check against another quotation line by line.

1. MOQ is high and a first order feels risky

You worry about: MOQ is high and a first order feels risky

What we do: Start with one carton (20 pcs) of padlocks or 30 sets of door locks. Mixed models inside one trial order are accepted, so the first order can test a range.

Evidence: Buyers who started with a very small first order have come back with container-scale repeat orders in the same product family.

2. Messages go unanswered and the project stalls

You worry about: Messages go unanswered and the project stalls

What we do: Quotes go out within 12 working hours and are issued as a document, with the open questions listed so nothing is left to a chat message.

Evidence: Buyers regularly send questions outside their own working day and receive the quote the same day.

3. The lock arrives and it does not fit the door

You worry about: The lock arrives and it does not fit the door

What we do: Send a photo of the door edge or a drawing. We confirm mortise size, backset, door thickness and hole pattern in writing before production.

Evidence: Non-standard bodies of 60 mm mortise and 22 x 200 mm have been engineered from site measurements and supplied with an installation template.

4. The app cannot unlock the lock

You worry about: The app cannot unlock the lock

What we do: Tuya Bluetooth and TTLock versions support active unlock from the app. The older Tuya Wi-Fi version is request-based, and we say so before you buy.

Evidence: A buyer who received request-based hardware from another supplier asked us to rebuild the board so the lock would unlock actively. We now make the difference explicit on every quotation.

5. Nobody will take a non-standard specification

You worry about: Nobody will take a non-standard specification

What we do: Non-standard mortise length, stainless steel versions, custom panel sizes and finishes are engineered and sampled instead of refused.

Evidence: Government and project orders have been built to a site drawing with a first-article check before the full run.

6. A quality problem ends the relationship

You worry about: A quality problem ends the relationship

What we do: Batch defects get a written root-cause answer plus replacement parts, a credit or a swap in the next shipment, with spare parts added to a later order.

Evidence: A board batch that drained batteries was traced to the component supplier, the locks were replaced and the supplier was changed.

Compare Supplier Type, Not Just Unit Price

An international brand, a trading company and a factory are three different businesses. The unit price is not measured on the same ruler, and neither is what happens after the order.

What a Factory Quote Includes That a Trading Quote Often Does Not

  • A drawing check before production, not a re-order of the same box
  • One person accountable for the fit question, the app version and the price
  • Export documents issued under our own name
  • A batch trace that points at a component supplier when something goes wrong

None of that shows up in a unit price column, which is why comparing two quotations means comparing what is attached to them.

Certification: What It Covers and What It Does Not

A certificate applies to a specific model and a specific scope. We would rather draw that boundary before the order than after the goods land.

ISO 9001:2015Our quality management system, not a product certificate
SGS verificationA factory assessment, not a product approval
CE / FCCElectronic compliance for the covered models
RoHS / REACHRestricted substances, relevant to European and Middle East clearance
Salt spray ISO 9227A corrosion test result, not a warranty against a coastal site
Building-code ratingsNot held; tell us the standard and we will say so plainly

How to Check Any of It

  • Ask for the certificate that names your model and read the scope line
  • Book a video factory tour and watch the assembly and inspection area
  • Order a sample and test the app version yourself
  • Ask for the batch record on a previous order

Every one of those is available before you commit to a volume order.

The Four Concerns That Come Up Most

These are the objections we hear when a buyer is comparing quotations. Each one is written as the worry first, then what we actually do.

7. Documents are missing and the goods sit at customs

You worry about: Documents are missing and the goods sit at customs

What we do: Form E, commercial invoice, packing list and B/L are issued in house, and invoices can be issued in the form your customs broker requires.

Evidence: Origin documents and a full document set have been issued for Southeast Asian and Latin American clearances, including corrected invoices after a payment-split query.

8. I buy through a forwarder in China and other suppliers will not cooperate

You worry about: I buy through a forwarder in China and other suppliers will not cooperate

What we do: We deliver to your nominated forwarder warehouse, print your shipping marks and send packing photos before dispatch.

Evidence: Forwarder-warehouse deliveries with customer-specified shipping marks and pre-dispatch photos are routine for us.

9. Battery products cannot be shipped

You worry about: Battery products cannot be shipped

What we do: Where regulations require it, battery-containing locks are re-routed and separately manifested, and the documents match the route used.

Evidence: A shipment rejected on the mainland route was re-packed and re-sent through a Hong Kong transit with its own waybill.

10. Private label feels like a gamble

You worry about: Private label feels like a gamble

What we do: Logo, colour box, manual language and master carton marking are all built from your artwork, with a digital proof approved before printing.

Evidence: Private-label programmes ship with approved artwork proofs and packing photos showing the finished carton.

What We Do Not Claim

  • We are not the largest lock factory in Wenzhou and we do not claim to be.
  • We do not quote capacity or lead times we have not confirmed with the production team.
  • We do not grade our own products with adjectives; we describe the checks each one passes.
  • We do not promise a certification we cannot put in a PDF for your model.

If a requirement is outside what we can do, we say so at quote stage. That is cheaper for both of us than a claim that fails at customs or in the field.

Four Questions About Choosing Us

The four questions buyers ask when they are comparing quotations.

Choosing a supplier

How are you different from a trading company?

A trading company coordinates other people's production. We run the assembly and testing, confirm the drawing against the door, and issue the export documents ourselves. The difference shows up when a measurement is wrong or a batch has a fault.

Why is your price not the lowest quotation I received?

Because the quotation includes a warranty that is honoured, documents issued in house, and the hardware generation you actually asked for. A cheaper quote is often cheaper because one of those three is missing.

Do you only make smart locks?

This website and this line of the business cover smart locks only: smart door locks, smart padlocks and the gateways and bodies that go with them. That focus is why the fit and the app questions get answered in the same reply as the price.

How do I verify what you say?

Ask for the certificate for your model, book a video factory tour, and order a sample before the bulk run. All three are available before you commit to a volume order.

Start With the Smallest Order That Answers Your Question

A sample answers whether the lock fits. A carton answers whether it sells. Neither requires a volume commitment, and both are quoted the same working day.

  • Reply within 12 working hours
  • Samples in 3-7 days, refundable against the first bulk order
  • Fit and app version confirmed in writing before production

PDF, JPG, PNG or DWG. A photo of the door edge with a ruler is usually enough to confirm the fit.

We reply within 12 working hours. Send a door drawing or a photo of your existing lock body and we will confirm the fit before production. File attachments up to 10 MB; if the upload does not go through, email the file to mike@bbdhome.com and quote your company name.
