Tuya vs TTLock: Which Smart Lock Ecosystem Should You Sell?
Both ecosystems work. They suit different buyers, and choosing wrongly costs a lot of after-sales time.
Read the article →Most failed smart lock orders fail on fit, not on electronics. A lock that is correct in every other way is useless if the mortise is 5 mm out or the door is thicker than the body allows.

| Door thickness | Most models fit 35-55 mm; mortise models can be configured for 40-120 mm |
|---|---|
| Mortise body | 5050 / 5845 / 6860 / 7255 / 8545 / 8560, or lock-only if you hold body stock |
| Backset | Distance from the door edge to the centre of the spindle or keyhole |
| Handing | Left or right hand, decided by the hinge side of the door |
An existing cut-out is the hardest case, because the body has to fit the hole rather than the other way round. Non-standard mortise lengths and stainless versions can be engineered from the measurement, and an installation template is supplied with the production order.
A body that has been produced to the wrong size cannot be reworked and cannot be sold to anyone else. Confirming the measurement costs a day. Discovering the error costs a production run.
One photo of the door edge or a body measurement is usually enough to confirm the mortise, the backset and the body.
